I got all moved and am settling in with Josh in Lawrence. There has been some adjusting to do, both with that and my new job (which I started THREE DAYS after moving up. Major life changes!)

It’s official. I have a job!!! I accepted a Staff Attorney position with the KCSDV, and I start next week. Also, I am moving to Lawrence this weekend! ALSO, the wedding is in SIX MONTHS. Booyah.

Last night it rained.

Something interesting has happened.
For the longest time, probably since I was working as a volunteer attorney and then later, when I was hired full time, I have avoided using the computer when I get home from work. I look at a computer screen all day, it’s the last thing I want to do when I get home in the evening.

I finally got around to checking my email and social media and such and I found a $10 gift ecard from my tumblr buddy! Thanks TB! This will be enjoyed very quickly :-)
On the subject of Thanksgiving, I also want to add that I am not a fan of the Black Friday sales starting at midnight on the Friday after Thanksgiving, and especially not the sales happening ON THANKSGIVING DAY. Seriously, this is commercialism at its worst, and it’s infuriating.

I know that certain cable networks (I’m looking at you, ABCFamily and Hallmark) are airing Christmas movies starting this weekend, or before even.
I refuse to watch any Christmas movies or listen voluntarily to Christmas music until AFTER Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is my favorite winter family time holiday, and I want to celebrate it on it’s own, without the Ghost of Christmas...
