I don’t wanna grow up!
Tired of all of those surveys made up by high school kids?!

These 38 questions are for people who are a little older.
1. What bill do you hate paying the most?
Loan payments, currently. ICK!
2. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner?
I’m gonna have to say Musha in Santa Monica, in the private “VIP” room. Oh yeah, baby!
3. What do you really want to be doing right now?
Going to bed after a nice/long/tiring/ day at work. Soon, my friends. Soon.
4. How many colleges did you attend?
One, The University of Kansas. For undergrad and law school.
5. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now?
It’s comfortable, and it was there.
6. What are your thoughts on gas prices?
I remember when gas was $0.87/gal or less. Not THAT long ago.
7. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?
I don’t use an alarm, I wake up to NPR. But usually it’s along the lines of “what’s tha? Who’s talking?”
8. Last thought before going to sleep last night?
“The Talented Mr. Ripley is WAY more nuanced than I realized the first few times I saw it.”
9. Do you miss being a child?
All the time.
10. What errand/chore do you despise most?
Currently, filling out job apps. But it’s so necessary right now that I have to keep on keeping on.
11. Get up early or sleep in?
Sleep in, although when I do get up early, I’m usually pretty happy.
12. Have you found real love yet?
Yes, in different forms applicable to different stages in my life.
13. Favorite lunch meat?
Lunchmeat…weird word. Honey smoked turkey, sliced thin.
14. What do you get every time you go into Wal-Mart?
I don’t go to Wal-Mart. And even when I did, there wasn’t a staple item I always got.
15. Beach or lake?
Lakes have beaches, idiot who wrote this. (I’m keeping Paige’s answer, because..duh!)
16. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?
Probably, but it has its merits.
17. Sopranos or Desperate Housewives?
Lost. Oh, that’s not an option? Probably Sopranos then.
18. What famous person would you like to have dinner with?
The hosts of Attack of the Show. They’re so geeky and awesome.
19. Have you ever crashed your vehicle?
No, but it’s bumped into a few objects now and then. It has the scratches and bruises and other battle scars to prove it.
20. Ever had to use a fire extinguisher for its intended purpose? Nope.

Bittersweet Symphony.
22. Strangest place you have ever brushed your teeth?
I always thought it was really weird to brush your teeth at the orthodontist’s office when I was in middle school, at the communal teeth-brushing station. Strange indeed.
23. Somewhere in California you’ve never been and would like to go?
NorCal.
24. At this point in your life would you rather start a new career or a new relationship?
New Career! New Career!

26 going on 50.

Like, in the mob? What? I’m gonna say no, but who knows?
27. Are you where you want to be in life?
Not really. Getting there though.
28. Growing up, what were your favorite cartoons?
TMNT, She-Ra and He-Man, Muppet Babies, Strawberry Shortcake, Carebears, Doug. Probably some others.
29. What about you do you think has changed the most?
Since when? I’ve learned a lot about gauging and observing people in different situations.
30. Looking back at high school were they the best years of your life?
No, but they were pretty awesome.
31. Are there times you still feel like a kid?
Always.
32. Did you ever own troll dolls?
A couple, but I wasn’t relaly into them.
33. Did you have a pager?
No, but I knew someone who did. It was weird.
34. Where was the hang out spot when you were a teenager?
The mall, various friends’ basements, Dillon’s after 10 pm (frosted cookies), the river, Bradley Fair parking lot.
35. Were you the type of kid you would want your children to hang out with?
Absolutely. Parents loved me.
36. Who do you think impacted your life the most?
My parents, my brothers, my friends, my enemies. Pretty much every significant person in my life has impacted it in some way.
37. Was there a teacher or authority figure that stood out for you?
Mrs. Davis (elementary school guidance counselor), Mrs. Foster (second grade teacher), Mr. Hersh (fifth grade mid-year subsitute-awesome), Ms. Yeargan (11th grade English teacher). I’ll stop there.
38. Do you tell stories that start with “when I was your age”?
It’s happened. I’m always aware how old it makes me sound when I do say that. Usually counselling my younger cousins about something or another.
