In the Mean Time

Spellbound

The Spelling Bee was AWESOME this year. Seriously, I love these kids! They’re so effing smart. I was smart at that age, but they’re way beyond that. They’re so…dediacated. It’s pretty admirable. And after 8th grade, a lot of them never do this kind of stuff again, so it’s a pretty awesome event for those who make it that far. I won my 5th grade spelling bee, but lost in the first round at regionals. “Civilian.” Hey, I was nervous. I have a special kinship with these kiddos.

Still looking through old Xanga entries. I accidentally was automatically resubscribed to another year of premium, but that’s ok. I can deal. I really don’t know what I’ll do with it after that.

I smiled when I found this part of an entry from October 14, 2004 (a day after the fourth episode of Lost aired):

“….I am extremely in love with the show “Lost” on ABC, because it is one of the most amazing character/freaky weird dramas I have ever seen, and it is super addicting….”

Yeah…little did I know. I watched it from the first episode, and I was hooked on it. Of course, back then, when I told anyone about it, it never made much sense, and most people just gave me funny looks. Now, it still doesn’t make much sense, but more people are watching it.

Sweet.
