I can’t listen to music with words and write, and if I have music on while I’m writing or working, it’s very quiet, background, instrumental stuff. Listening to music with words will lead to one or more words from the songs ending up in my work. My brain must process music and thoughts right near each other. Which makes sense. 

I haven’t heard any songs yet today. I’ve been listening to the Song of Ice and Fire series on my way to work and back for the past couple of months, and haven’t listened to much else, including NPR or music. I have’t actually noticed that too much. At least not yet.
