NaBloPoMo Post 5: Favorite memory from college (no prompt)

No prompts on weekends! That’s ok, I was busy over the weekend anyways. This post comes from Kristen, my former college roommate.

Of course I don’t have ONE favorite college memory. I have too many to count. I would probably have to do an NCAA bracket style faceoff to pick a winner. In fact, I probably will sometime, just for fun. I realized when writing this, that although college was not always the stuff of good memories, I don’t have as many bad ones. They’re not worth the brain space.

If I had to pick JUST ONE, for brevity’s sake, I’d have to say Covert Op. Even though I’m not really supposed to talk about it, I will, because a video exists, and many people have seen it. One time, these girls, who were me and my roommates, decided to get revenge on this guy and the people he was living with. It was a worthy cause. I have no idea what the revenge was actually for. We purchased supplies, made a mix CD soundtrack (this was pre-iPod days, very much Audiogalaxy/Kazaa days), dressed all in black, and set our alarms for 3:00 am. This was strategically planned. We did more than one drive by of the place, realized one of their cars was missing (license number 334 LPA…what?), cased campus to find said car, didn’t find it, went back to the place, put forks in the lawn, and other fun things. The guy we were asserting our vengeance on caught us and ruined all the fun.

That whole winter was fun. Karaoke, hanging out with upperclassmen, ice storms causing school to be cancelled for two days in a row, making weird videos pantomiming animals…it was a good winter.

This one goes out to You, K-dawg. I got my mind set on you.
