I never, ever shop there. In fact, the only time I set foot in a J.Crew was January of 1999, in NYC.

I can’t bring myself to unsubscribe from it though, for two reasons:

1) It was the very first retail email list on which I ever got myself inadvertently listed.

2) That J.Crew was in the lower level shopping concourse of the World Trade Center. It’s an oddly sentimental, if not slightly morose, connection to the past, and something that isn’t there anymore.

It’s also why I can never, ever get rid of that heather gray thermal shirt with the tiny blue flowers, even though I never wear it.
