Short answer: History, BA. Nothing.
Long answer: After starting undergrad with the full intention of majoring in biochemistry, I came to my senses and realized that wasn’t going to work. At all. So I shopped around a bit, considered Speech Language Pathology, English, and Poli Sci, and finally settled on History, after spending a semester abroad, where I learned about European history in the places it happened (Italy and France).
I went straight into law school, which was always the plan after I declared my History major. Sometimes I wonder what the experience would have been like if I had taken a year off, but my mentality was “take a year off and do what?” Going straight through worked for me, and I was an attorney (for better or worse) by age 25.
