Why have a truncated RSS feed?

I can’t stand truncated feeds. What’s the benefit? Okay, you get way more actual clicks on your site. Advertising dollars, etc. I get that. Assuming your article is compelling enough to draw me that far.

Honestly, if a feed is truncated, I’m much more likely to unsubscribe immediately. If I DO stay subscribed, it’s because I find your content as a whole pretty good, but I’m more likely to miss some good work if the article is truncated before I can tell.

Seriously. I’m about to impose a personal moratorium on truncated feeds. Who’s with me?
