The scruff of the neck/going limp thing is inherent in all cats, because mama cats carry their kittens around this way. It just happens to be a convenient (kinky?) trick male cats use on females. For various reasons. One time, Josh and I were sitting outside late at night and we heard cats getting it on. That was hilarious. Whew, I feel better. Carry on.
