I worked out today

It was FANTASTIC.

I only did 30 min on the elliptical and 30 min on the treadmill (just walking today…I may step it up to jogging [yogging?] in the near future). But it was a great feeling, Seriously, why did I stop doing this?

Oh yeah, I got sick. Remember when my head was going to explode? But I’ve finally gotten back into it, so hooray.

I think the real key, just like THEY say, is to try and stay at your target heart rate, and not go too far over that or under it. It’s easy for me to try and do too much, but in the end, that’s not really effective. So yay for intelligent fat burning. Or something.

My target heart rate (for my age) is right around 150 bpm, +/- 15.

My eating habits have never been bad, and I love veggies and don’t crave carbs, so I think I’ll be ok in the food dept, don’t really have to change anything there.


So we shall see what happens. I’m going to SD in a couple of weeks (YAY!) and hopefully I’ll be in better shape by then.

Also, it doesn’t hurt that my parents have an entire gym in our basement. I don’t have to leave the house to work out. Woot.
